Secure Network Technologies Welcomes Jim Ockenden to the team

SYRACUSE, NY – June 28, 2021 – Secure Network Technologies is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Ockenden as a Security Advisor. As a Fairport native who has worked in I.T. for thirty-four years Jim has racked up a very impressive resume. He received his B.S. from the School of Business at Nazareth College in 1983 and from there founded and sold several IT and related companies. Most recently Jim retired as a founding partner of iV4, Inc. a nationally recognized and leading IT consulting, managed services, security, and cloud company headquartered in Rochester, NY until being acquired in 2020 by ProArch. 

Jim is currently a Trustee on the Board of Directors at Nazareth College and also serves on an advisory team for the School of Business and Leadership. He also serves as an instructor for Onward to Opportunity, a career training program for retiring veterans and their families through the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University. 

Jim is a volunteer mentor for the Business Mentor NY program, the state’s first large scale, web-based, hands-on mentoring program geared to help entrepreneurs and established small businesses overcome challenges to grow their business.
